Welcome to Atelier SCTY.

Here you will find works that exist outside of the confines of client briefs and pecuniary remuneration. Instead we play with form and experiment with function. Sometimes this becomes an artwork, befitting a gallery exhibition and other times we delve into cultural proposals for social research.

Ali Madad views the role of the graphic designer as a cultural and social intermediator; creating the communicative tissue to connect forms, ideas, agents and institutions.

Arden’s creative works are often concerned with investigation, kilter, and remembrance of, space, typography, and love. His work has been featured in international publications and collective gallery shows. Academically, he has sat as Academic Director for The Art Institute of Houston for two years grooming an academic program of 300 students. Arden has had his students’ work featured in Graphis and Print, with several students earning the coveted AIGA Texas Scholarship award. Today, he is Lead Faculty at The Art Institute of California-Hollywood.
